Privacy Policy
Effective 25 September 2026
In short: the app collects nothing about you, sends nothing anywhere and has no accounts.
The camera
Timelasso uses the camera to show the view and to record your timelapse. Every frame is processed on your device. The app has no networking of its own, so no image, video or information about you ever leaves your device through it.
Your videos
A finished video is added to your Photos library only when you tap Save, and shared only when you tap Share and choose where it goes. Timelasso asks for permission to add to your library, not to read it, so it cannot see your other photos and videos. Recordings you discard are deleted from the device.
Settings and diagnostics
Your settings, and whether you have bought Remove Watermark, are stored on your device. The app also keeps a performance log on the device (frame counts, timings, temperature state and free space). It contains no images and nothing about you, and it is never sent anywhere.
Purchases
Remove Watermark is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment, and Timelasso never sees your payment details or your Apple Account.
No tracking
There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data.
Apple’s services
If you test Timelasso through TestFlight, or share crash data with developers in your device’s settings, Apple may pass crash reports and any feedback you choose to send on to the developer. Apple’s privacy policy covers that.
This website
timelasso.app is hosted by GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, sees your IP address when you visit. The site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. If you sign up for updates, your email address is held by Buttondown, the mailing service, and used only to send Timelasso news. You confirm the sign-up by email, and every message has a link to unsubscribe.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
